hi there lovelies! not too long ago, we were at a local craft store when we saw this j to include in pip's room somewhere.
but after 2 weeks, it still didn't have a home. that's when i decided that a great place for it would be in her area of our gallery wall that i showed you in tHiS pOSt. the large horizontal frame is for pip's art and the large vertical one is for little man's.
the only thing? it meant i had to make one for little man too. yay! cRaFT tiME!! so i got one of those lightweight chipboard G's and went to town! it was so much fun!!
here's the finished product...
so what do you think?? do you prefer j's store-bought or g's home-made??

Luv them both but your handmade letter is just fab! It looks storebought...hummm, maybe you should go into the letter decor business Andie!

ReplyDeletehi! I had to chuckle - I just posted my very first craft on the Amaze Me Monday link up and it was an embellished letter as well! Wow! You are very creative! I love how you embellished the letter using the different colors and materials.. I love the homemade one :)

They're both really cute. I think the bonus to home made is that you can make it exactly the way you want. I'm your newest follower.
ReplyDeleteI like the handmade one better. It's more personal. Plus, I'm a sucker for green and polka dots!

I love how you can make handmade so unique and personal to you. Most people are usually thrilled to get a handmade item too. A few years ago, I started making my own fabric gift bags just to save money and to use up scraps of fabric. I'd buy a gift to put in the bag, yet what do people gush about?
ReplyDeleteThey like the free bag that took 5 minutes to make and was free to me. Go figure!
Homemade is always better.
ReplyDeleteI am a new follower.
I love the vibrant color of the homemade one, though I'm sure the softer pallette fits well for a girl's room. They both look terrific! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI'm hosting my monthly Before Blogging Throwback Thursdays party, and would love for you to link up anything you made/did/bought Before Blogging. Can't wait to see what you bring to the party.
I'm so grateful that you linked up in this week's Creative Bloggers' Party & Hop :) This awesome post totally rocked the party!
ReplyDeleteThank you for linking up to {nifty thrifty sunday} last week!
