the days of creation art display

in the beginning....
there was only God
day 1 God created earth, space, time, and light. He separated the light from the darkness to make day and night.

day 2
God separated the water from the sky.

day 3
God created the land and filled it with plants, trees, and other vegatation.

day 4
God created the sun, moon, and stars.

day 5

God created the birds and sea animals.

day 6
God created land animals and man.
day 7
God looked at the beautiful world He had created.  He placed his love on it and rested.

as we worked on the pieces, we hung them up in a progression on the wall in our little preschool area.  all together, here is our creation story display:

when we move on to the next topic, i will take these down, scan them, and make our own creation book with them on shutterfly.

two wonderful resources we used during this unit were The Beautiful World that God Made by Rhonda Gowler Greene and the site JCPlayzone. JCPlayzone has videos that cover not only the Creation story, but other Bible stories.

what are some books or other materials that you
like to use to teach the Creation Story?

I love this. It's such a hands on way for kids to learn and then to display what they've learned.
