to start the project, i laid out a long piece of paper from our easel roll. Bear laid down on it while i traced around his body to provide him an outline. he's ticklish, so i took a bit of work and giggles.
he chose what colors of paint he wanted and dumped them on our painting tray. i provided him with various painting tools.

the paint became its own activity
he explored various tecniques and tools while he painted.
the final product was a painted up paper-Bear similar to the paint-covered little boy in I Ain't Gonna Paint No More!
happy painting! and remember....
if you aren't getting messy, you aren't having enough fun!

Ha ha! Love it! I remember making those body silouettes in elementary school! So much fun! Bear certainly had some fun. I totally agree that your not having enough fun unless your messy!

ReplyDeleteCute! Want to check out that book now!
ReplyDeleteI'm always looking for great children's literature. As a teacher and an artist, this book looks great! Your little Picasso did a great job on the painting! :-)
ReplyDeleteLove the idea! My guy would have painted himself. Who am I kidding? He'd paint himself no matter what, LOL.
ReplyDeleteCute! So glad that you shared. Thanks for helping make Things I've Done Thursday a success!
