weekly kid's co-op: black out

it's time again for the Weekly Kid's Co-Op.
in case you've missed the past few week's colorful features, here they are:
this week's color is black.  i thought i'd share with you a post from last year based on The Black Book of Colors by Menena Cottin.  this book is phenomenal.  it's all black, no colors, and no pictures.  instead, images are embossed and raised on the pages.  the words are also given in braille.  it's a wonderful book to share with children when exploring diversity and the 5 senses.  you can see our activity here.
here are 4 black-themed features from last week's link-ups
if you're featured, feel free to grab a featured button.
1. Cross Crafts for Kids from Train Up a Child
2. Matisse Inspired Art for Kids from Buggy and Buddy
3. Bilingual Early Literacy Game from The Good Long Road
4. Easter Scratch Art from Putti's World
