What is a blog carnival?

The way a blog carnival is formatted is that each blogger posts their individual posts based on the theme of the carnival.  At the bottom of everyone’s post will be a brief synopsis and link to the other blogger’s posts that are participating.  All post will go live on the same day.  As of right now, the scheduled posting date is Tuesday, May 14^th.

What should I write about?

How food allergies affect your family
What you’d like other parents to know about your SN child
Activities that can be done to:

                    -understand the attributes of a specific special need

                    -help teach children compassion

                    -understand what special needs are

How should I format my post?

-Posts should be no longer than 1000.  For page-loading purposes, try use 3-5 pictures.  If you want to include more, consider doing some collages {they load as 1 image J}

-All posts will be published on the same day, Friday July 27th.  Please schedule them to publish at midnight Central Time.  If you need help figuring out what time that is in your time zone, please go to the Time Zone Converter here.

- At the bottom of everyone’s post will be a brief synopsis and link to the other blogger’s posts that are participating.  Please write a 2-3 sentence synopsis of your post.  Though it might feel odd, please write your synopsis in 3^rd person format.    If you are able to include the URL prior to it actually going live, this will be very helpful.  Please email your synopsis by Thursday July 19th.

-I will combine all of the synopses and links and forward you the html so that it is all uniform.  The html will not be sent until after 10 am CST on the publish date {so that the correct links can be included}. 

How do we share the Carnival?
