paint pouch a la Teach Preschool

i love Teach Preschool.  if you haven't been there, go there (after you read this post, of course).  deborah has so much kNowLeDGe aNd amAZinG iDeaS!  she created writing bags with hair gel for her students to practice writing with.

i knew that i wanted to make one them, but hadn't yet gone to the store to get hair gel.  so i improvised with our huge bottle of tempera paint.  the only downside? the smell. on the plus side, it's been a few days and it's staying liquid in the ziploc, so it's not wasted.

now during all of this, another idea entered my head.  i could take this a step further and retouch on how colors can blend to make other colors.

we added some yellow paint to the blue paint
and observed what happened.

and since i love LitERacY tiE-iNs, we'll need to grab "little blue and little yellow" by leo lionni the next time we're at the library.

after that ran out of steam, we grabbed the shaving cream (another idea for bag fillers from teach preschool).
that lasted a few minutes... the next activity was what stole the show. check back tomorrow to see what we did!
